Yamaha Style on the Nushagak River

It takes commitment to be the finest lodge camp on the Nushagak River. Great fishing will only get you so far. That’s why we’re constantly working to make sure our customer’s experience in the Alaskan bush is second to none. Great food, accommodations and equipment all contribute to our customers experience and we’re excited to announce a fleet wide upgrade of new Yamaha motors.

Nothing is worse than having a day of fabulous fishing interrupted by motor troubles. It happens to the best of them. By keeping our motors up to date we insure our customers numbered days on the river will be the best that they can be.

Yamaha motor

The new 115 and 70 horsepower  four stroke Yamahas are powered by a 16-valve direct drive DOHC. The motors utilize  four valves per cylinder, eliminating rocker arms and their adjustments and increasing air supply and volumetric efficiency for better performance. The motors feature electronic fuel injection controlled by the Engine Control Module. It continually adjusts the fuel/air mix to properly match engine load and speed.

This new camp upgrade might not be the first thing you think of when you consider creature comforts on the Nush, but it’s additional evidence as to why Alaska King Salmon Adventures is considered the finest bush camp in Alaska.

See you all on the Nush!
